Hepcom at “Tackling Childhood Obesity in Europe through Prevention and partnership”


Henriette Hansen will introduce the Hepcom project to the attendants of the event “Tackling Childhood Obesity in Europe through Prevention and partnership” organised by Public Policy exchange, the 22nd of April 2014.

The Hepcom presentation will be part of the session “Promoting Comprehensive Approaches in the Early Years”. More specifically during the section on “Identifying and Promoting Good Practices and Education Campaigns”. Other key speakers are Artur Furtado, Head of Service, nutrition and Physical Activity, DG Health and Consumers (European Commission) and Grace O’Malley, HRB Fellow, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health from University College Cork (IE).

The event attendants will have the opportunity to discuss current EU policy initiatives and priorities, examine the progress, challenges and next steps in tackling obesity, highlight the crucial importance of pre-conceptual years for effective obesity prevention and Analise and learn from examples and best practices.
